A bar in Saigon where US. officers gathered was attached by the VietCong forces (militia from the North). Ho Chi Minh creates the Vietnamese Communist Party. Ho Chi Minh declared Independence from the northern part of Vietnam, oficially dividing the country; North Vietnam turned to communism leaded by Ho Chi Minh. Lyndon Johnson was forced to start negotiations, however, the war continued.
