This is a way for students to learn the language by visiting communities to find information, speak with native speakers, and research all about the culture. Students can conduct ethnographic interviews with native speakers in the community, They can record in notebooks or on audio or video tapes. Here the help of a teacher is required.

AUTHENTIC MATERIALS

ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDIES

In this aspect, students are presented with objects such as jewelery, figures or art tools so that they are responsible for looking for information about the given object then they should make a brief summary about the relevance of the article

It is a way to explore and even provides a way to analyze stereotypes and misperceptions of a culture.

It helps the student to engage in authentic cultural experiences. This also helps teachers to match age with the student's language level. Movies , news broadcasts, television shows, websites and magazines are included in here.

Here students may represent a lack of communication based on cultural differences. And even students can do this activity to identify the reason for the lack of communication and work on it.

This gives readers the opportunity to learn about a culture without having to visit the place. (Students are indirectly immersed in another life for an extended time according to Carter 1995)

It offers students the opportunity to witness behaviors that are not obvious in the texts. It helps to promote linguistic issues and to identify conversation times.
