Pressure on the median nerve at the wrist caused by swollen, inflamed, or scarred tissue.
Stress imposed by falling onto outstretched hands; involves an ulnar collateral ligament.
Blood supply to the lunate is disrupted. Causes may be microtrauma or repetitive stress.
Pressure on the ulnar nerve at the wrist from many different sources, including external pressure.
Inflammation of one or two tendon sheaths or strain of the extensor pollicis brevis (EPB) and abductor pollicis longus (APL).
Increased risk with participation in contact sports or jumping sports. FOOSH injury common.
