Apply lotion, cream or oil.
Have the client put on her own sandals or single-use pedicure slippers and polish the nails.
Massage the foot and remove lotion, cream, or oil from the nails of both feet with polish remover.
Soak and clean the feet.
Remove old polish, clip and file the toenails, apply callus remover, and wrap the foot in a towel.
Remove the foot from the towel; remove loose, dead tissue, exfoliate the foot; and smooth calluses.
Push soft tissue folds away from the nail plate, remove extra debris, dry foot and wrap in a towel.
Rinse the foot in pedicure basin or foot bath, brush the nails, and dry the foot.
