This sacred site was one of the greatest centers of the Yucatán peninsula. Throughout its nearly 1,000-year history, different people have left their mark on the city. Their vision of the world and the universe is revealed in their stone monuments and artistic works. Several buildings have survived.

It is the third oldest building in Italy. Utilizing many columns and archs, this tower represents an advanced understanding of weight and load characteristics, showing the Italian architectures knowledge. What the architect didn't account for however, was the base of the tower being built on a dense section of clay. The construction of this building began on August 9, 1173. Originally designed to be a bell tower actually stood upright for over 5 years, but just after the completion of the third floor (1178) it began to lean. The citizens of Italy were shocked as it began to lean ever so slightly.

The wall that can be seen from space, was built and rebuilt for centuries. The first walls were erected in the 7th century BC. During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) the Wall has already become the largest military structure in the world. The most famous site in the country that has long history and rich heritage. The area has four distinct seasons. It can be really cold in winter and very hot in summer.

The white marble mausoleum is famous in the world not only for its striking beauty, but for its romantic story as well. The emperor was devasted after his wife had died in labor and commissioned to build the monument in her memory.

Built in AD 70 the arena could hold 50 000 spectetors! It is one of the most significant monuments from the most famous roman monument to have survived from the classical world. Today this stands as the symbol of glorious Roman Empire and the bloody gladiator fights. It is also a real treat for those interested in history and archeology.

The largest Art Deco sculpture in the world has become and icon of Rio. Not only it is impressive due to its size, but also the nature, however, it is smaller than the Eiffel Tower. The Sugarloaf Mountain that you can reach by a cable car is near and amazing panorama opens from the top of the hill.

The sacred is the greatest masterpiece. Incredibly daring and inventive, it was bulding on the most difficult wild and in accessible mountain area available. It is known worldwide not only for its impressive and unique ruins, but also for its unusual location on the edge of an abyss, from which one can appresiate the vigoroust waters of the Urabamba River. How the Indigenous were able to carry the huge blocks of stone to the top of the mountain and build such a spectacular exponent of their wisdom and culture remains a mystery to day.
