Multiple aspects of identity overlap to sometimes mitigate or sometimes amplify marginalization. Aspects of identity (race, class, gender, age, socioeconomic status, etc.) that are generally disempowered and targeted in a given society. Acknowledging that differences of many types exist, and accepting and embracing those differences. These are aspects of identity that are generally central to who you are. The Big 8 are Ability, Age, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, and Class/Socioeconomic Status.
