Insert a new glue stick into the back of the gun Carefully aim the tip of the gun at the place where the glue is needed before very gently squeezing the trigger. Under no circumstances try to remove hot glue. It will cool down in about 2 minutes. Until it does, it will stick to flesh and will cause burns.
