Goal

Put the words (or groups of words) in the correct blanks by clicking, dragging or typing, as determined by the author of the game.

Every time you press the Check button, the game checks whether or not the words you entered are correct.

When you press the Check button and all the words are correct, the game goes to the next page. If there are no more pages, the game ends.

If the author has set a maximum number of lives, each time you press the Check button and at least one of the blanks has been filled in incorrectly, you will lose a life.

If the author has set a maximum time to complete a screen, when the time is over the game will check the boxes you filled in and you will go to the next page without being able to get the score of the blanks that have not been filled in correctly. In this case, if the author has also set a maximum number of lives, you will lose one if there are unfilled blanks or if at least one of the blanks has been filled incorrectly since the last time you pressed on Check.

The game ends when you lose all your lives, when you run out of time on the last page or when you press the Check button on the last page and all the words you filled in are correct.

Controls

Cellphone or Tablet

Jump to any place by tapping it on the screen.

Press and hold the place or drag up with your finger to zoom in on the answer. Once enlarged, if there is a picture you can tap on it to see it in full screen.

Computer

The controls will be different depending on whether the author has set Interactive mode or Write mode.

In Interactive mode, tap a word (or set of words) in the bank to place it in the active blank, or hold it down, drag it to the blank you want, and drop it. If there is a word in that blank, that word will move to the bank.

Tap on a word that has already been placed in a blank to take it back to the bank. You can also do this by holding it down, dragging it to the bank, and dropping it.

If you placed a word in a blank and you want to move it to another blank, hold it down, drag it to that other blank, and release it. If there was already a word in that other blank, the two words will swap places.

Tap on an empty slot to make it the active blank.

In Write mode, use the keyboard to fill in the blank with the correct word (or set of words).

Tap on a blank to move the cursor to that blank. If there is already something typed, the cursor will be placed in the space where you tapped.

Tap the Check button to have the game check whether or not the words you entered are correct.

Score

You start with 0 points and earn up to 100 based on how many blanks you have filled in correctly by clicking Check, and how many attempts it takes you to do so.

The total score is divided by the total number of blanks in the game. For example, if there are 10 blanks, each blank is worth 10 points.

If you click Check and there is an error in a blank, the maximum score for that blank will be halved on your next try. On the second miss in the same blank, it will be divided by four, and from the third miss on, the score for that blank will be zero.
